Day 1, Willemstad. Start at the Kura Hulanda Museum, set in old eighteenth and nineteenth century buildings in Otrobanda, then climb the famous colorful stairs and have lunch at Plasa Bieu, the popular market hall downtown. The afternoon suits a stroll to the floating market, and then comes the most anticipated moment: a gelato at Cielo. If your first day falls on a Thursday, stay for Punda Vibes, the weekly street party that fills the cobbled streets of Punda with live music and evening fireworks.

Day 2, the wild west. Leave early to climb Christoffelberg before the heat, then head to Shete Boka and its waves pounding the rock, followed by Watamula Hole. The day winds down with a swim at Grote Knip and dinner at Landhuis Daniel.

Day 3, comfort beaches. A full day at Cas Abao, with loungers, showers and a reef within reach of the shore. The afternoon moves to Porto Marie, known for its double reef.

Day 4, Westpunt. The turtles of Playa Piskado open the morning, then snorkeling at Playa Kalki. Lunch at Restaurant Playa Forti, perched on the cliff, before ending the afternoon at Playa Lagun.

Day 5, the east. A visit to an ostrich farm, a Chichi painting workshop at Serena's Art Factory, lunch at Pasawá, then the Tugboat Beach wreck and Fort Beekenburg.

Day 6, an easy day. Brunch at the Hofi Cas Cora farm, a tour of the Hato Caves, and an afternoon at Mambo Beach and the aquarium.

Day 7, the finale. Playa Santa Cruz and its Blue Room, by boat or by swimming, then Playa Jeremi and one last sunset at Playa Forti, from the cliff where the daring ones dive.
