A full day in Curaçao's wild west, between Christoffelberg, wave-battered caves and the white-sand beaches of Banda Abou. This western itinerary starts early, before the heat settles in, to climb the island's highest point. Then come Shete Boka park, the blowhole of Watamula Hole, and the turquoise water of Grote Knip. A day in Willemstad starts early and is best experienced on foot, moving between the two sides of the bay. The morning is devoted to history at the Kura Hulanda Museum in Otrobanda, followed by a colorful stroll through the neighborhood's staircases. Then comes a creole lunch at the local market, crossing the floating bridge to Punda, a gelato break, and, in the late afternoon, the cool air of the Hato Caves.
