Curaçao Escape (curacaoescape.com) is an independent, curated travel guide to Curaçao, published in five languages: English, Dutch, French, Spanish and Papiamentu. It was founded by JP Beaulieu and Caroline, a couple from Québec relocating to the island from November 2026 to March 2027 to build the guide on the ground. Placement in the editorial selection is not for sale, and recommendations are never paid.

Our story

A family project, built on the island

Curaçao Escape is the project of JP Beaulieu and Caroline, a couple from Québec who fell in love with Curaçao. From November 2026 to March 2027, they are relocating to the island with their three children for a four-month stay, building the guide on the ground rather than from a distance.

Caroline, a photographer, shoots the site's visuals herself: the beaches, the streets of Willemstad, the food, the details. Every recommendation is somewhere the family has actually been. Nothing in the editorial selection is for sale, and recommendations are never paid.

The guide exists because French-speaking and Dutch-speaking travellers had no serious independent resource about Curaçao. The site is published in five languages — English, Dutch, French, Spanish and Papiamentu — so that travellers and islanders alike can read it in their own language.
