A few steps from the Emma Bridge in the Punda district, this covered market with rustic charm has housed the island's best local kitchens for decades. Six independent stands welcome you around picnic tables in a relaxed atmosphere where locals and visitors gather for lunch.

The open kitchens serve what the island really eats every day: kabritu stoba, goat stew simmered with local spices, grilled red fish fresh from the morning boats, kadushi cactus soup for the more adventurous. The communal tables encourage conversation and discovery. The arepa di pampuna, small pumpkin pancakes with a hint of sweetness, are the place's sweet signature.

Hofi Cas Cora

banda-riba

At the heart of the old Cas Cora estate on Reigerweg, this organic farm transforms the art of brunch with an authentically local approach. The Eatery cultivates its own farm-to-table philosophy by serving exclusively what grows on site. On weekends, when local families come for brunch, the place reveals its true nature: a culinary laboratory where each dish reinvents the classics with the day's harvest.

Restaurant Playa Forti

westpunt

At the island's western tip, in the village of Westpunt, Restaurant Playa Forti sits perched on a cliff above the beach of the same name. You come for the local cooking, keshi yena, red snapper, stewed goat, and you stay for the show: from the terrace, divers leap into the turquoise water below while the sun sinks over the Caribbean Sea. A simple, sincere institution, open every day.
