The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival returns from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Piscadera Bay, right on the water in Willemstad. Born in 2010 as the Caribbean version of Rotterdam's Dutch North Sea Jazz festival, the event has established itself over the years as a highlight of the island's music calendar.
Despite its name, the festival isn't limited to jazz. The lineup traditionally blends soul, funk, salsa, R&B and international pop, spread across several stages on the World Trade Center grounds. The full 2026 lineup hasn't been announced yet, but regulars know that surprises and impromptu collaborations between artists are part of the event's charm.
Late August falls during the island's low tourist season: for three days, the festival becomes a meeting point for visitors from the Caribbean, the Netherlands and Latin America.
Tickets and all practical information are available at curacaonorthseajazz.com. For many festival-goers, the real pleasure starts the moment they arrive on site: the sea breeze off Piscadera Bay drifting in with the first notes, as the sun slowly sets over the bay.
